1966 Gibson non-reverse Firebird III in its original custom color Golden Mist Poly finish. It has a great playing neck with great frets. It's all original with the exception of the period correct tuning keys and the period correct vibrato tailpiece. The original vibrato tailpiece was removed as this guitar was played using the wraparound option on the bridge. At some point this period correct replacement tailpiece was installed, but was taken from a guitar in a Cherry finish which left a bit of paint residue stuck on the reverse side of the tailpiece and was pressed into the surface of the original finish of this guitar when installed (shown in the photos). There have also been additional tuning keys installed at one point in time leaving some extra screw holes. This original set of double-line Kluson Deluxe tuners have naturally aged buttons that match the look of this guitar. Some screws are not original to this guitar and its missing the small adjustment screw on the treble side of the bridge. The original hardshell case is included, but has a broken handle which is also included. This guitar was originally sold as a factory second. It looks great with nicks + ding, finish checking and other cosmetic wear. The guitar itself remains structurally sound with no cracks, breaks or repairs. All electronics work and sound great.
